Organized by Aix-Marseille University, France and National Institute of Technology, Silchar, India
The workshop aims at introducing the French and Indian communities to quantum natural language processing (QNLP). Quantum computing has seen fast development in recent years with the premise of theoretically faster computation on hard problems. In the field of natural langage processing (NLP), this potential speed improvement is accompanied with modeling of language elements such as words with quantum bits as shown by pioneer work by Bob Coecke. This novel modeling relies on different features from traditional approaches and should allow the redevelopment of major approaches to NLP, leading to even more potential than speed improvements.
